We’d like to take this time to thank all of our great volunteers for their dedication to The Center. Without you we would not be able to offer so many wonderful programs to our West Seattle community. Let us transport you to Spain!

Every year one of our most popular fundraising events is the Paella Dinner. This year it takes place on Thursday, September 11 starting at 6pm with tapas, dinner and entertainment. Chef Jim Yragui, along with Ann-Marie Murray, will once again prepare this tasty meal followed by entertainment by The Flamenco Luz Dancers! $20 in advance/$25 at the door. It ain’t your mama’s Tupperware party!

We are bringing you the world of Tupperware as seen through the eyes of the fabulous Sylvia O’Stayformore! (See Page 4) Pick up your catalog at the front desk and join us on Friday, September 19; proceeds from the sales go directly to The Center. Tell your friends, tell your cousins, tell your mama! Tickets for Center members are $15 in advance/$20 at the door and include hors d’oeuvres and one glass of wine. Mixed Media and Memory Lane Cafe

For the first time ever we are offering two wonderful opportunities for those affected by Dementia/Alzheimers and their caretakers to participate in social activities made easy just for them.

Memory Lane Cafe is an opportunity for people to meet and eat lunch at Angelina’s Restaurant. It is scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month.

On Tuesdays starting in October you can participate in Mixed Media class. No artistic experience necessary; all materials provided. Offered in partnership with Lifelong Recreation and Seniors Creating Art. Space is limited. Call the front desk to register: 932-4044 x1. Classes are free and all are welcome.

Create your own masterpiece

Have you ever wondered how those artists minds create such great works of art? Here’s your chance to paint while you enjoy a glass of wine! Join us on Tuesday, October 21st as we will supply the inspiration, paint and step by step instructions; you’ll go home with your own masterpiece!
